We were invited to go to a park that is near from where we live.
We thought that the activity will be only walking in the woods, but we were wrong. This includes a little petting zoo and children's playground.
But that is not the only thing that it can offer, it can also give you a clear picture and proof that you are in Holland because of the nearby windmill that is picturesque enough to enjoy natures charm.
We did enjoy the day and it is best to visit this place when it is sunny for it can be muddy during raining months.
Just a quick visit to Sneek, Friesland.
It's a little city in one of the Provinces of The Netherlands which is in Friesland.
The thing that I liked about this place, is their bridge, where you can see the port. It have it's own charming looks. We did not go further and explored the place, since we were here for other interest. But since we got a little view of the place, we might consider to go again and enjoy the little city.
Boerensport: Farmers Sport (in my own translation)
This actually happened around May 2016.
So what is this Boerensport I’m talking about?!! It was our team building day. The organizers did not tell us what are we going to do at that day. All we knew was that we have to wear old clothes, shoes and be ready to be active.
We went to a place named Nieuw Vennep. It is an almost an hour drive from our place. Upon arriving to the said location, all we saw was a farm land with no visibility of what we are going to do. It was not so hot that day, some of us wore jackets to keep us warm from the open field. Then we realized and saw on the welcome board that we are going to do Boerensport.
To be honest, I did not know what to expect or even do. I have never been or did mud sport. So I just accepted the fact that we have roll around, swim and test our agility and power on doing this very challenging game.
I never knew that it would be a funny and nice day for all of us!
So here’s to our action shots!
After all the years of hard work, from the paper processes, to adapting the Dutch culture, with learning in an intensive Dutch language course and training myself to be the one I wanted to be… I finally got my Dutch citizenship! And not only that, I’m glad to be able to retain my Filipino citizenship too. I feel blessed and thankful for all the things that I received and achieved in the years that I have been working hard on.
The struggle is real! Lol!
So thank you Netherlands, for accepting me to be a part of your country. I will be forever thankful 😀
Last year 25th of April 2016, I celebrated my birthday with the fishes and other marine life.
So from our location, Trelevern, we thought of going to another big city and it is called Brest. It is an hour and half drive from our place of stay.
We planned some indoor travel this time since we knew that Bretagne would be pouring rain again.
First impression of Oceanapolis, it’s a big building. They have a big parking lot (it’s free) and you have to walk at the near entrance.
Entering the said attraction, at first we were confused where to go since you have some themes to choose from. The place is huge and there are a lot of portals where you can go to see their main attraction. It is a bit unclear on where we should start, but then we just followed the map and just go with the flow. We tried to visit all of it.
But all in all, we found nice fishes, sharks, penguins and other marine life. They have big tanks and happy for that!
This would be a great outing for kids and for the ones who love aquariums when you are in Brest!
